Now that I have researched and have found the codes and conventions of CD front covers, I now need to research into the codes and conventions of CD back covers. To do this I will need to look at similar media texts to find these conventions.
The first back cover I shall look at shall be the back of Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet. The back of this album is rather plain which just a solid coloured background. The title of the artist and album are clearly shown, with the tracks within the album listed below, numbered in the order which they arrive in the album. Along with each track name, the length of the song is also listed alongside the track. Also in small print at the bottom, the production company name along with the distributors.
The next back cover that I shall research is The Beatles' Abbey Road. On this back cover, the artist's name and the album title are shown. The background used relates to the front cover that I researched previously, being the location of Abbey Road. The background shows the actual street name, with a person walking by, which would happen in real life.
